Description

This recipe is a great way to get a big portion of phytoestrogens from soy as well as the beneficial allyl sulfides from the onion and garlic. Turmeric and the fresh herbs have been shown to have anti-cancer properties too...

Ingredients

1tspolive oil
1pksoft/medium tofu (crumbled)
1 onion (chopped)
1clvgarlic (minced)
1/2tspcayenne pepper
1/2tsptamari or Bragg's liquid aminos
1/2tspturmeric powder
1/2cchopped green onion
  fresh herbs (dill, parsley, basil)

Instructions

Sautée garlic and onion over medium heat until browned. Add tofu, herbs, and Braggs, sautéeing until you achieve the desired consistency (depends on tofu type). Serve over whole grains (eg. Kasha).

Notes

Kasha (delicious toasted buckwheat) is an alkaline forming grain (degenerative diseases are often caused by overconsumption of acid foods) and is a rich source of fiber and silica.
